PNG Prime Minister Peter O'neill refuses to step aside
Port Moresby. PRIME Minister Peter O’Neill has refused to step aside until an independent Commission of Inquiry which he announced yesterday conducts a full investigation into issues surrounding payments to Paraka Law firm.Prime Minister O’Neill backed by his People’s National Congress party members and coalition partners announced that a Commission of Inquiry headed by retired Justice Warwick Andrews will be established with terms of reference to be announced shortly.Mr O’Neill said key government agencies line the Attorney General and Justice, Finance, Courts, Prime Ministers Office and police have all compromised themselves that now called for an independent inquiry into the Paraka payment issue.
