PNG Pamuk Websites

Pasin Pamuk or production of adult material in Papua New Guinea is illegal and yet web search traffic statistics indicates that most Papua New Guineans search for PNG produced adult material online. The recent introduction of mobile internet adds to this.

Most searchers look for websites that contain this type of material online.  A researcher viewed some mobiles randomly on the street of Port Moresby and viewed the browser history/cookies. It was alarming discovery that 1/ 5 mobile phones viewed contained adult contains.

The PNG government has no restrictions or control measures on the content users in the country should view.  However, it is a law that no one in the country should be engage in producing adult content or design websites that host such materials. Yet many produce adult content and post them on the internet.
